My Brother

This is my little brother Jaxon. He is the youngest of us two as you can see. We are 12 years apart. It’s a long time don’t you think?  My mum said that she was waiting till I’m old enough to babysit.

You see before he came I was the only child. It was really fun being the only child sometimes. We went to america with my older cousin. I thought of my older cousin like my sister. We always spent time together and she always spoilt me.

The first time I found out that my mum was pregnant was chirstmas. Under the tree was a present of my dad and I. We unwrapped it with great excitement. It was a soft top, little and blue and it . I looked at her and I was so confused.

I am so happy that I have a little brother. He is really annoying but he is really lovable sometimes.  He has just learnt to grab and walk around. He learns things everyday.

Our Netbooks

Kia Ora, and welcome to my blog! My name is Jasmine as you may know, I go to Pt england school. Pt England has recently been made a Intermediate, so now it is an Intermediate and Primary school.

Pt England School is apart of the manaiakalani program, schools around our cluster use netbook and chromebooks to learn. We don’t just use netbooks and chromebooks we also go old school sometimes (back to the old books and pencils.)  We can do alot of things on our netbooks.

The reason I love using my netbooks is because, there is alot of websites that can help us with Math, Reading and Writing. Math Whizz and xtra math helps me with math. Writing on our own individual blogs help us to get better at writing and going on studyladder can teach us reading.

Our netbook is a great tool. There's so much ways that they help us. Our school is cybersmart. We learn to be safe and wise on the internet. We learn that were not invisible and we can be traced on whatever.

Old Man On A Beach

Walking upon a beach full of memories, remembering the wonderful thoughts of his past. Chris was his name. Chris and his wife used to come to that beach every holiday with their grandchildren. Sadly his wife passed away a few years back. He took a big breath and smelt the salty seas. The feeling of sand underneath his feet reminded him of the great memories they had there. Looking down at his feet, dazzling little crystals shone back at him. Walking among the shore-line every step was like a flash of a memorable moment that had happened on that beach.

He kept walking when suddenly he saw something...He walked down to a cave. He was looking down to see what was there, when suddenly he slipped. He didn’t know what to do so he tried to climb out. It was too slippery for him to climb. He started calling out for help. “Help! Please anybody, HELP ME!” He calmed down and took two deep breaths.  He felt the sides of the cave and dragged his hands to find his way around.

He stumbled across a path which he followed hoping it would lead him to an exit. The further he went the lighter the cave became. He thought he was going to heaven. He even thought to himself that he would be reunited with his wife. He was looking for his wife but all that was there was a box! “What’s in it?” he thought. It had a few cracks in it but it was in quite good condition. He opened it and didn’t believe what he saw... “No... It can’t be? No it’s not really treasure, is it?” He took a coin out and bit it to see if it was real. “It’s fake.... Do I taste chocolate?” He gazed upon it with disbelief, He grabbed another one, clenched his teeth and took a big bite and it didn’t break. “What?” The top layer was chocolate and underneath that the rest was real gold. He looked around and saw a door with a funny looking lock. It was shuffle puzzle all mixed up and he had to solve it to get out of their of to get to civilization.

He knew that he was going a little blind, “This is going to take a long time” he grumbled quietly. He grabbed the lock determined to get it unlocked. He took a deep breath in and focus all of his concentration on the keypad. Slowly he moved the puzzle pieces. He stepped back and waited for a little while, to see if it was correct. The door opened with a loud screeching sound.

Mr Muliaumaseali'i

There was a Samoan man that loved performing. He moved to England to learn more about performing arts. On one special Friday our school, Pt England got treated to a performs like no other. Mr Muliaumaseali'i was his name, he travelled all the way from England just to sing a song for us.

He needed our help to sing. He told us to say Minoi about  five times when it was the chores and we all did as he said. He started to sing and some of our students waved their arms side to side. He walked around and sat next to kids still singing. Then later in the song he walked to the back of the hall to where the sensors sat and said that the right side was the best. That's where my class was sitting.

Mr Burt asked if team 4 and 5 could stay behind for a little talk. I wondered  what he was going to talk about. I didn't know if he was going to growl us or if he was going to say thanks or something.

Mr Burt was talking about bullying. Students at this school. have been bullied. But thankfully it has slowed down. It's not just at this school, there is othere people at othere schools that get bullied.

Water Spout!!

On a cloudy, gloomy day, some kids walked down to a sandy beach called Pt England beach. Kayla was invited by some friends to have a picnic. Sitting under a pohutukawa tree Jenny, Casey, Kristopher and more friends were waiting there.

Walking towards them Kayla was uneased Did I bring everything? Did they really invite me or did I imagine it? All these questions and more where spinning around in her head. “Hi Kayla” shouted Jenny. “Hello Jenny” she replied. She sat down next to Kristopher, “Did you bring your togs?” he questioned her. “Yes I did!” with a big smile she replied. “Want to have a race to the water” Casey said to all of them. “Ready Set GO” Off with jump and with a spring in every step they ran to the water.

They were all floating on their backs when Kayla saw something in the sky. “What’s that?” as her hand raised up pointing in that direction. They all stood up wondering what that was. “Umm I don’t know what that is... But umm I think we should get out of the water!” Kristopher said worried.”I think I know what that is, it might be a waterspout” Casey said.
“W-Wh-What's a waterspout?” Jenny muttered. “Do you know what a Tornado is? Well, think of a Tornado in the water...”Casey said Knowledgeable.”Oww so a Water-Tornado” Kristopher said  making sure he knows what it was. They wandered into a cave looking for shelta. Kayla walked in front, feeling the caves wall. Deeper and deeper they went the darker the cave became. She found her phone in her pocket and she shined the light in the direction she was walking. She stumbled upon a door.”What is a door doing in her” she  asked herself.

She pulled the door to where a light shone upon her eyes. It wasn’t yellow more of a gold kind of colour. She stepped discovered a man sitting on a deck with a cloth in one hand and a shiny gold cup in the other. It looked like he was trying to clean it. Behind him was a pile of gold. Is he...No he can’t be, A pirate! It came out of her mouth. He looked at her direction and mumbled, he didn’t see her as she flung down to the ground. She ran back to her friends and told them. They decided  not go back as they didn’t know if he was armed. They went home thinking about that gold. They talked about going back but they never did.
